Defense wants prosecutors to release information in death of Adrian Patterson's son

Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Patterson lost his two year old son Tyrese Ruffin on October 9 only a few days after finding out that the boy was his son.   He had been living with his mother and her boyfriend Joseph Patterson who is being accused of child abuse, manslaughter and second degree murder.  Patterson  was released after posting a $750,000 bond.

Tim Rensch a lawyer for the defense has accused prosecutors in taking their time of releasing evidence.  He has asked a judge to order the release of CT images of the injuries that Tyrese had so that he could properly prepare a defense. He has also asked for the information on the boys liver that was donated after his death.  This might be a problem since it involves private information unconnected to the criminal case.

Prosecutors have denied that they are dragging their feet.  They claim that certain information wasn't available until now and they will hand it over as soon as it becomes available.
