Councilman Proposes Name Change For Washington Redskins

Councilman David Grosso  is proposing a nonbinding resolution to change Washington Redskins name to Washington Redtails since Redskins is offensive to many Native Americans.  He wants the name changed to Redtails since this is nickname of a group of African American pilots that fought during WWII.  There are about eight council members backing the resolution so far.  Between fans there were mixed reactions on social media sites like Facebook and Twitter with some backing it, some opposing it, and some wanting the name changed to something else.
