It almost sounds as if they are standing in line waiting for their chance to be suspended. First it was Brandon Browner who was suspended last season for four games last season when he violated the drug policy. Currently he is on the sidelines with a groin injury. Next it was Richard Sherman who was suspended however he won the appeal and did not miss any games. Bruce Irvin also missed the first four games for the same reason. Now it is Walter Thurmond who will be suspended for violating the NFL policy.
In 2011 it was John Moffit, in 2012 it was Allen Barbre and Winston Guy who where suspended for violating the drug policy. With such an impressive resume even John Harbaugh, 49ers coach couldn't ignore it. In training camp he mentioned it saying "It has no play in an athletes body, play by the rules."
Thurmond will miss four games. He will begin serving his suspension next week so that he should be able to be back for the playoffs.
