False Rumor of Another NFL Arrest

An Internet report stated on Sunday night that San Diego Chargers running back was arrested for being involved in an altercation outside of a San Diego club.  On Monday morning the police denied the allegations that a different man was arrested and not Mathews.  It is unclear if Mathews was even at the club at the time of the incident.  This was good news for the NFL that has been busy with 31 arrests since the Super Bowl game in what should have been a quiet off season.  Charges of the arrests range from self defense to murder.  The news that Mathews arrest was just a rumor was a welcome change.
