There have been many interesting news surrounding the NFL draft. One of them stand out with it's valuable lesson that can be learnt from it and that is the story of Maurice Alexander who was selected by St. Louis Rams in the fourth round on Saturday.
Alexander was with Utah State two years ago. After punching a teammate in the face at a party he was sentenced to a year in jail. He was kicked off the team however his prison term was reduced to 45 days. He returned home afterwards and took a job at the Ram's home stadium as a janitor.
In 2013 he returned to his former team and worked his way up to become an honorable mention All Mountain West Conference player. Now he is back with the Ram's however this time he will be playing for them.
