The Vikings had their final game on Sunday at the Metrodome where they won 14-13 against Detroit. For the next two seasons the Vikings will be playing at the University of Minnesota's TCF Bank Stadium. In the meantime the Metrodome will be demolished and a new $1 billion stadium will be built on the site.
Monday morning the Vikings released an email that announced the firing of Leslie Frazier. They are now looking for their fourth coach since the team was bought in 2005 by Zygi and Mark Wilf.
Mike Shanahan was let go by the Redskins. It was a known secret that Dan Snyder and Mike Shanahan didn't see eye to eye mildly speaking and the firing was only a matter of time. Snyder released a letter after the firing was announced in which he wrote "Redskins fans deserve a better result"
After five seasons with the Lions Jim Schwartz was let go. When they didn't reach the playoffs this year, it was pretty clear that he would be the one to pay the price for it.
Time to move on to bigger and better things.
