Jerry Kill Takes Leave of Absence

It takes a great man to go on despite his issues however it takes an even greater man to turn around and face his issues so that he should be able to go on.  That is exactly what happened to Jerry Kill.

Kill took a leave of absence from his job as Minnesota's head coach in order to take care of his epilepsy.  Until now he has been going on with his job calling the seizures "distractions" .   However Kill has had to miss two weeks this season besides for last weeks game against Michigan.  He also suffered a seizure during the September 14 Western Illinois game .

All this has led Kill to the decision to take time off in order to take care of his health.  Epileptics can go on to lead productive lives provided that they work out the right balance of medication.  As soon as he works it out with his doctors he told reporters " I look forward to returning to the Minnesota sideline on a full-time basis soon"
