ESPN Buckles Under Pressure

ESPN has been working with PBS for the past 15 months on a film production that highlights concussions in football and its long term effects.  Six weeks before the finish line ESPN has announced that it was pulling out because of "editorial concerns" .  They also said that  "we will continue to cover the concussion story aggressively through our own reporting.” There has been speculation going around that the reason that they have backed out was because of pressure of the NFL. The NFL is being sued now by former football players for hiding the effects of concussion from them.  A film like this has the potential to do great damage to the NFL and can end up costing them millions.
