Chiefs Acquire Alex Smith

For the past eight years Alex Smith has been with the 49ers.  Last season he watched from the sidelines as his team went to the Super-Bowl with Colin Kaepernick taking him over.  Throughout all this he hid his frustration.  Now he is getting a second chance.  The Chiefs  under their new coach Andy Reid have agreed to take him.  This will be the second time in nearly 20 years that the Chiefs have made this move.  Joe Montana  had won four Super-Bowl but moved aside for Steve Young the new quarterback for the 49ers. He was then acquired by the Chiefs in April of 1993.
